Finding Bella Blue

BWL Publishing Inc. | When Paths Meet

International super-stardom is more than Izzie ever expected to achieve so why isn’t she happy? Jack Corley thought he had escaped his heritage until a family tragedy brought him home to deal with debts, squabbles and a crumbling ancestral home. Will they find a way to resolve their problems and achieve the peace and happiness they both crave, or will pride and money get in the way?

---

Sheila Claydon's novel is a wonderful book about two people deserving of happiness. Claydon writes brilliantly, creating characters we can't help but care about…. Her secondary characters are also terrific and enrich a worthwhile read. Highly recommended

---

Born and educated on the south coast of England, Sheila Claydon has gradually moved northwards across the UK. Now living in northwest England on a stunning stretch of unspoiled coastline, she finds walking a constant source of inspiration as well as a counterweight to the sedentary life of a writer. Interspersed with her writing is a long and varied career in health, education and employment. She likes to think she is a better writer because of those experiences, and also admits to basing some of her characters on people she has worked with in the past. Her motto is a quote by the late Ray Bradbury: 'First, find out what your hero wants. Then just follow him.'
She starts with plots, chapter outlines, characterisation, each time she starts to write a new story. Then the hero takes over and she follows him instead...'

Mending Jodie's Heart

BWL Publishing Inc. | When Paths Meet

When musician Marcus Lewis buys the derelict farmhouse next to Jodie’ Eriksson's riding school he doesn’t know whether to be amused or irritated by her angry reaction to his plans. Then her sister Izzie visits him and makes things a whole lot worse…or is it better…because now he has an excuse to see Jodie again. Although, when he sees her, it’s not exactly a meeting of minds, they do discover they have one thing in common; they both believe they know what’s best for Izzie, and for Marcus' son Luke. It turns out they’re wrong. The children they thought they were protecting need to be set free. It’s Jodie and Marcus who have the problem; but can two broken hearts make one whole one? The battle lines that were set when they first met have long since been breached but the war won’t be over until Jodie learns how to trust again, and until Marcus allows himself to believe in his son.

This is a very sweet story. The characters are well written and the plot line is well executed. It is easy to fall in love with the characters. Definitely an enjoyable read. You won't be sorry you picked this book up.

Saving Katy Gray

Katy was used to losing things. First she’d lost her childhood home, then her career and reputation, and finally, and most dreadfully, her identity, so she knew she should be used to it. She wasn’t though and she couldn’t bear the thought of having to leave her job and start over, not now she was beginning to make a new life for herself. On the other hand she wasn’t prepared to play second fiddle to her boss’s girlfriend. Thank goodness she’d found out what he was really like before it was too late…or had she?

Enjoyed this book. I will watch for more of Claydon's books. I have already recommended it to my other reader friends. Cute story.

Bouquet of Thorns

On a travelling scholarship in India, Sarah’s brother has left her in charge of his run-down wine bar, telling her to sell it if she can. Waitressing in the evening as well as trying to establish her own flower shop during the day is more than she can cope with, however, and when she starts to fall out with the customers she knows it’s time to stop. Then the owner of the biggest hotel in town offers to buy it and, fingers crossed, she hopes her troubles will soon be over. Unfortunately for Sarah, they are only just beginning. Working long hours, using the profits from her own business to prop up the wine bar, and trying to pacify her disgruntled boyfriend, she is too tired to think straight as she lurches from one catastrophe to the next. And even worse is the fact that Sean Marlow, with his Viking warrior beard and piercing blue eyes, always seems to be at the bottom of them.

Another wonderful story from Sheila Claydon.

One of the best story lines I have read in a very long time. Love the romance so detailed without giving blow-by-details of the actual sex act. Understand the wide appeal for the success of the book.

Kissing Maggie Silver

BWL Publishing Inc.

Maggie Silver intends to put as much space as possible between herself and her family just as soon as her parent’s ruby wedding celebrations are over. She is fed up with their constant advice and her never-ending babysitting duties. There’s a great big world out there and she wants to see it before she settles for suburbia. Then Ruairi O’Connor turns up at the same time her sister-in-law goes into labor, and suddenly everything becomes a lot more complicated. As for Ruairi, in a few weeks time he will be on the other side of the world, so now is not the time to fall in love, especially with Maggie. Until now he’s thought of her as little more than a child so why has he suddenly discovered she is very grown up indeed and the only thing he wants to do is kiss her.

---

Kissing Maggie Silver was a great book with a great story line. Maggie's family (the Silver's) are a close knit group with Maggie being the youngest and only girl. The story line between Maggie and her childhood crush Ruairi are what make this book so great... it was a touching and sweet reunion that brought them back into each others lives. You will be glad that you choose this book to read!

I'm all about stories that involve the heart and children. Double Fault has both and with Sheila's talented writing style - I believed the entwined challenges both hero and heroine had to face and deal with to find their way back into each others arms. A TOUCHING READ I highly recommend.Another great Books We Love read.

Reluctant Date

BWL Publishing Inc.

In a rut, and with her love life at an all time low, Claire Harris makes a New Year’s resolution to join an Internet dating agency. Her challenge is twelve dates or twelve months, whichever comes first, unless she is lucky enough to meet Mister Right along the way. On her final date, and convinced that only frogs are left in the dating pool, she is relieved that it’s nearly over…until she meets enigmatic American, Daniel Marchant. The only problem is, his brother has set him up, and Daniel makes it very clear that he’s not interested in dating anyone at all. He is looking for someone to work in his developing conservation research company though, and when he discovers that Claire has the photographic and cataloguing skills he needs, he offers her a dream job in Florida. But Dolphin Key is not as idyllic as it seems. There are too many secrets and too much heartache. And Claire has her own secrets as well. Not that she is going to share them with anyone, least of all with Daniel, because he must never know he has stolen her heart.

---

Sheila Claydon's characters are well-drawn, complex, and easy to like without being mawkish. Claire and Daniel meet on a first date which each of them keeps to please someone else. Both are surprised by the attraction they feel for one another, but both have a history that warns them not to trust their feelings and every reason to believe that the attraction is not mutual. Claydon has a real talent for integrating locale and story. Reluctant Date takes place in multiple locations on two continent with each location being portrayed with an appreciation of its unique qualities. I enjoyed the time spent in each of them, especially the glimpses of wildlife around the delightful Dolphin Key
