Hay fever, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a respiratory disease and common condition. The symptoms of this disease are a runny and itchy nose, thin watery discharge, sneezing, itchy roof of mouth and throat, watery red and itchy eyes, frontal headache and decreased sense of smell and taste. Hay fever is a misnomer. It doesn't mean you're allergic to hay. Despite its name, hay fever is almost never triggered by hay, and mostly it doesn't cause fever. Hay fever symptoms may start at a particular time of year, triggered by tree pollen, grasses or weeds, which all bloom at different times. If you're sensitive to indoor allergens (dust mites, cockroaches, mold or pet dander), you may have year-round the symptoms of hay fever.
Allergic rhinitis occurs when the immune system mistakes a harmless airborne substance as a threat. During a process called sensitization, your immune system then starts producing antibodies to this harmless substance. The next time you come in contact with the substance, these antibodies recognize it and signal your immune system to release histamine into your bloodstream. Histamine causes a reaction that leads to the irritating signs and symptoms of hay fever.
In the homeopathic and biochemical treatment (Schuessler salts) of allergic rhinitis, detoxification therapies serve the activation of metabolism, the immune system and strengthening the body's circulation and connective tissue. It cleans, de-acidifies the body, is mineralizing and leads to a balanced life energy. The body will be purified and the dissolved metabolic waste, acids and toxins are excreted through the intestines, urinary tract, lungs and skin.
Allergic rhinitis can be caused and reinforced by a mineral deficiency and an acidification of the body. Mineral deficiency and acidification in turn weaken the hormonal system, connective tissue and immune system. Also a defective metabolism favors allergic rhinitis, acidification and chronic health problems and is often the result of a disturbance of mineral intake and mineral distribution. Although we may receive enough minerals in our food, in the event of a metabolic disorder, not all of the minerals may reach the cells. The use of homeopathic remedies and Schuessler salts is a good way to compensate this mineral deficiency in a natural way and to treat allergic rhinitis.
Stress as well as environmental toxins hinder the mineral transport through the cell membranes. This is where the effect of Homeopathy and Schuessler salts works. They activate the excretion of toxins and acids. The basal metabolic rate increases and the self-healing power of the body is activated.
First I like to explain you the therapies for the treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis offered in this guide:
Homeopathy was developed about 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann. The three basic principles of Homeopathy are the simile rule, homeopathic drug testing and detection of individual disease. The most important principle is the principle of similarity (simile rule), which was formulated in 1796 by Hahnemann.
It states that a patient should be treated with the remedy, which can cause in its original state similar symptoms in healthy people like the existing disease. It notes primarily the main complaints of the patient. Together with a few differentiating additional informations (modalities) then the right remedy will be found for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. The dosage depends on the condition of the patient. As the patient improves, the distances between the medication will be gradually extended.
What happens if you choose the wrong remedy? Nothing. Just as a key does not turn in the wrong door lock, a wrong homeopathic remedy does not cause any reaction in the body.
The homeopathic remedies are available as D-, C- and LM potencies. For the beginners in Homeopathy, I recommend the use of lower D-potencies. Higher potencies (D200, C and LM potencies) should only be given by an expert, as they go very deep in their effects and are often used only once.
Schuessler salts (also named homeopathic cell salts, tissue salts, biochemistry) for the treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis
In the 19th Century the german physician Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler (1821 to 1898) developed his health cure with homeopathic mineral salts. In recent years this therapy celebrated a comeback. In his studies Schuessler discovered twelve mineral compounds, comprised each of a base and an acid, which play a crucial role in the function and structure of the body. He developed his own system with which many diseases can be treated in a natural way.
Schuessler focused his search on mineral salts and trace elements, which are found in every cell of the body and called his method of healing "Biochemistry" (chemistry of life). It is based on the assumption that nearly every disease is caused because of the lack of a specific mineral salt. This leads to dysregulations inside the cells. The molecules cannot flow freely.
A mineral salt deficiency arises from the fact that the cells cannot optimally use the minerals. To improve their absorption, mineral salts therefore have to be highly diluted (potentized). Schuessler used the homeopathic potencies D3 (3x), D6 (6x) and D12 (12x) for his therapy. In general, the D6 (dilution 1:1 million) or D12 (1:1 trillion) is taken.
Acupressure for the selftreatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis
Acupressure und Acupuncture come from the Far East. Because of their great success they are now becoming very popular with us. During the acupuncture treatment needles are pierced into specific points. During the acupressure treatment these points are pressed, massaged or rapped. Both treatment methods have the advantage that they do not have any side effects when used correctly.
About 400 acupuncture points are used constantly, but much more are known. They lie on the 12 main meridians and the special meridians, which must be imagined as the energy pathways of the body. As long as the energy is distributed evenly throughout the energy channels, the person is healthy. When the energy flow is disrupted, the person is sick. By treating certain points, the energy between the meridians will be balanced and the patient gets enough power to become healthy.
In this homeopathic and naturopathic adviser, I will give you recommendations how to treat and prevent allergic rhinitis with the help of Homeopathy, herbal tinctures, Schuessler salts and Acupressure. I will present you the most proven homeopathic remedies and Schuessler salts, including the appropriate potency and dosage. Homeopathy works holistically and treats the whole body, spirit and soul. I wish you much success, joy of life and especially your health.
Allergic rhinitis, Hay fever - Treatment with Homeopathy
- Hay fever, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a common condition. Hay fever is a misnomer. It doesn't mean you're allergic to hay. Despite its name, hay fever is almost never triggered by hay, and mostly it doesn't cause fever.
Symptoms of hay fever:
Hay fever symptoms may start at a particular time of year, triggered by tree pollen, grasses or weeds, which all bloom at different times. If you're sensitive to indoor allergens (dust mites, cockroaches, mold or pet dander), you may have year-round symptoms.
Histamine, the main chemical, causes most of the symptoms of hay fever and an allergic reaction. Common symptoms of hayfever include:
Feeling tired or ill
Runny nose with thin and watery discharge
A clogged, tingling and itchy nose
Sneezing, sore throat, shortness of breath
Itchy roof of mouth and rough and scratchy throat.
Shortness of breath due to a narrowing of airways. This is caused by cramps (spasms), swelling of the mucous membranes and excessive mucus secretion.
Painful, inflamed, red, itchy and watery eyes
The mucous secretion of the eyes and the nose is considerably increased. The pain is burning, pulling and pushing.
Aversion to bright light (photosensitivity)
Decreased sense of smell and taste
Aim of treatment should be to get these allergic reactions under control. An extension of the allergy to the lungs (an allergic asthma could develop as a complication) must be prevented.
Causes of hay fever:
Hay fever occurs when the immune system mistakes a harmless airborne substance as a threat.
Causes of seasonal hay fever:
Tree pollen, common in the spring
Grass pollen, common in the late spring and summer
Ragweed pollen, common in the autumn (fall)
Spores from fungi and molds, which can be worse during warm-weather months
Year-round hay fever triggers include:
A weakened immune system
An acidification of the body
Dust mites or cockroaches
Dander (dried skin flakes and saliva) from pets, such as cats, dogs or birds
Spores from indoor and outdoor fungi and molds
Mineral deficiencies, such as a lack of calcium.
A lack of trace elements.
Hormonal imbalances and changes (menopause).
A disturbed intestinal flora.
Electromagnetic pollution and geological interference.
Environmental factors also provoke allergies and hay fever. Gases, especially components such as diesel soot and particulate matter. They change the pollen structure.
Certain foods and their additives such as sweeteners or flavor enhancers.
Pesticide residues in foods.
Detergents, jewelry, etc.
In addition to your homeopathic and biochemical treatment of hay fever, you may make a de-acidification health cure of your body with the ...
